So far they sound better, but I have yet them to put them to a serious work test, which for me is a Zoom with a person with a thick accent. I tried the monitor speakers, and found they were horribly inadequate for a Zoom interview of a person with a Chinese accent, I went looking for Edifier speakers (mentioned above) and found their R19U speakers (2 small ones, no low frequency third speaker) on sale for about $30 at MicroCenter. Speaking as the OP, I originally was thinking of something in the $35 range. The go connect an audio source to it (I like to use the iPod I always have on my person) and try it out with the content you expect to be listening to. If possible, see if you can find a store with a demonstration model set up. But (as is the case for any speaker system) quality is highly subjective. And maybe the Logitech Z313 will be up to the OP’s task. Yes, $35 is significantly less expensive than $130 or $110. Hence several recommendations for studio monitors and 5.1 surround systems. The linked thread suggests several more expensive options, but that thread was for who (I believe) was looking for a more robust audio system. That’s not what I would consider “several hundred dollars”. Both are available at discount for some retailers. Where? There were only two speaker suggestions in this thread (and two suggestions to use speakers built-in to a TV/monitor). You can tilt and adjust the height with the provided stand. Most of the folks who have given you suggestions define “inexpensive” as “several hundred dollars.” But I’m guessing that’s not what you had in mind. So the quality is not something you should worry about. If you have used an LG monitor before you know how colourful their monitors are. When talking about the IPS display quality, it is absolutely brilliant. So if you are going to use this with another PC or something like that you’ll have to figure a way out. One disadvantage with this is you don’t have an HDMI port in this monitor. Although I cannot appreciate the speakers in this the webcam supports 1080p Full HD video. A microphone, speaker and a webcam are already there in the monitor. This monitor works perfectly with the Mac OS and has x3 USB Type-C ports and a Thunderbolt 3 port in it.

LG UltraFine 5K monitor is actually not comparable with the Pro Display XDR’s features since 6K 32inch vs 5K 27inch (5120 x 2880) is a huge difference, but if you are looking for a monitor with higher quality and for a lower price this may be the right choice for you.

So when considering the jaw-dropping price of the Pro Display XDR, I would say the LG monitor is somewhat good.

The best monitor anyone can buy for the Mac Mini M1 is Apple Pro Display XDR (32-inch Retina 6K) and its standard version currently costs $4999 (that is only the display, you’ll have to buy the stand separately). Is it good? Well, it depends on considering what we are comparing to. This monitor literally costs about two Mac Mini M1s.
